Rainbow Weavings is a one woman, home based jewelry business located in the Texas Hill Country, that has been in existence since 1985. I specialize in hand crafting and selling miniature weavings that can be worn as earrings or pendants. These minature weavings are part of the South American god's eye tradition. Each earring is started with a straight piece of wire. The wire is spun into a coil, stretched, cut and shaped by hand to form each frame or "loom". Each frame is then woven by hand into 3 to 6 layers, each layer completed separately. The use of pure silk thread produces a lovely iridescent sheen, and metallic threads are used to add a bit of sparkle This Unique, Colorful and Light Jewelry will invite many compliments!
